Oct. 16-20--Buffalo River float and hikes hosted by Ray and Patty Jordan

We plan to drive to the Buffalo River on Saturday then float for a few days.  The plan is to camp along the river, then continue with the float rather than having a base camp.  We will also do some hiking of the many trails.  If you can't stay for the whole time, feel free to spend what time that you can.  More detailed plans will follow as the date nears.

 October 23 — Soup hike - Rick & Trudy Racine 484.2108.

This year's soup hike will be at Lake Perry State Park.  We're hoping there will still be colorful trees, or if not, a pretty good view of the lake.  We'll meet at 10 a.m. at Rick and Trudy Racine's house, 8221 Mike O Vince Road, Ozawkie, and hike on the trails that run behind their house.

Please bring a can of vegetables appropriate for soup (no sauerkraut, please).   Bowls, etc., iced tea, crackers, and dessert will be furnished.

Directions:  Take US 24 east of Topeka to highway 237. Turn left or north to Kimberly Rd. Turn right on to Mike Vince Rd until you find the house.

If you have any questions (or need a different kind of directions), please call Rick or Trudy at 785-249-6651 or e-mail us at rracine@hotmail.com.
